Contract was generally for the installation of a steel soldier pile and concrete lagging retaining wall behind which was located behind an existing church to stabilize an unstable embankment. Work included excavation and haul off of excess soils, approximately 290 vertical feet of 36” caisson drilling, installation of approximately 731 vertical feet of steel piles, 200 feet of steel walers, pre-cast concrete lagging panels, 1080 linear feet of steel tie backs, 1000 square yards of rock face support system, HDPE mine acid drainage piping system, stabilization of underlying mine void by drilling and pumping of all erosion and sedimentation controls, seeding and mulching, as well as project layout and survey. |
